no, just walk down the street. After doing it for a decade, used my fit bit to measure the steps.

Being a carpenter it varies but anywhere from 45-1.5.

After I build my new shop I plan to try and make a living out of it building cabinets and such instead of on the road all the damn time.
I’m sick of it.

good luck with that baw, unless you already have ties with some homebuilders and you can crank it out in volume

Seeing how many people itt drive an hour or more to and from work is eye opening. I couldn't spend 2+hours in my vehicle every day.

I followed a guy i work with home one day to look at a truck he was selling and he lives 45 minutes south of the shop and I realized that day there was absolutely zero chance that I would ever drive that far for work.

I know some people.
The cabinets we build on our projects can’t hit 100k and I can tell you that there is a fair amount or profit on them.

Zero interest in mass production.
Will build doors and tables too.

My first job out of college in cali was a 45 minute commute going and 55 back home, and it was only 15 miles. I swore I would never do that again so my next job back in Dallas I lived 1 minute from work. Luckily it was in a cool part of town and I still live in the same area. I've worked from home for myself the last number of years and don't think I could go back to a commute. I do have to occasionally make long drives of 1- 1.5 hours each way for projects but that's usually just once every few weeks. Zoom has lessened the frequency of these long drives as most project meetings have a zoom option and I only go when the meeting will be about my specific work on the project.

30 minutes, about 20 miles as the crow flies each way, luckily against the prevailing direction of morning and evening rush hour traffic.

Either from my bed to my desk or 50 miles of one of the most dangerous roads in the West. I like to live life at the extremes.

Mine is 45-50 min each way. 44 miles door to door

Thankfully I can either take the interstate that whole faster is higher stress or take 10 min longer and drive the back roads mostly alone. It’s about my limit though honestly as I’m putting 30k miles a year on a vehicle
