Not since I embraced the fact that there's a much larger percentage of the population who are sociopaths than I originally thought. Also, there's an art to totally ignoring people and walking away from them - FOREVER. Over the last 10 years, I have distanced myself from people who for the longest time I considered to be a friend, but turned out to be nothing but "energy thieves".

I get my feelings hurt quite often.

Whenever I try to cook something new at the house and my wife's face tells me she doesn't like it even if she lies and says it's great.

I know that pain all to well. This morning was worse when I tried to get a hug as I was leaving for work and she ran towards me then psyched me out and changed directions to go give mom a hug.

That’s... too long.
If you care about the people in your life, odds are that someone will hurt your feelings at a semi-regular interval. Now that doesn’t need to devastate and break you or anything like that. You can be hurt and still function in your daily life. But to feel nothing isn’t something I’d go around bragging about. Just my opinion.
