Supposed to be one of the better theme parks in the country.

I always thought it was just some hick theme park but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

I didn’t realize it was so highly rated.

Roller coasters look pretty good on YouTube.

Anyone here been?

It’s great

Good rides, clean, friendly employees, handmade gifts instead of imported from China. Highly recommend

If you have kids they’ll enjoy seeing the eagles

ETA: go to the Dolly Parton's Stampede for dinner and a show. I think it used to be called the Dixie stampede

You seem more like a Disney type of guy.

Make sure they’ll be open so you don’t pull a Clarke Griswold at Wally World

It’s good. We used to go all when we lived in Alabama and would go up to Gatlinburg. Less culture than most theme parks.

She also owns “Silver Dollar City” near Branson, Mo. It’s very clean and also has great roller coasters.

I’ve heard you best avoid Boogertown Road if you’re in the area.

Otherwise, Dollywood is a fun way to spend a day with the family.

We just returned from a Thanksgiving cabin trip to Dollywood, etc. It was our first time going to Dollywood. We went on Friday. Extremely family oriented. Decorated beautifully for Christmas and of course Christmas songs throughout the park. The Christmas songs they play there are actually about Baby Jesus, you know, Little Drummer Boy, etc..
Christmas songs that you would NEVER hear in Woke Disney, Universal.
They have some pretty good rollercoasters…. it’s not a Cedar Point. They have rides for every age to enjoy. I suggest going at this time of year because of the Christmas lights and decorations. They also have it decorated at Halloween time but it’s called Harvest Fest.

“Dollywood's Halloween-themed event goes by “Harvest Festival” and the “Great Pumpkin LumiNights”. Dollywood takes pride in creating a family-friendly, not-so-spooky event that's fun for all ages. That's one of the reasons why you'll almost never see the word Halloween in relation to this event. “

It looks really cool and that area is so pretty at that time of year with the leaves turning colors. I definitely recommend going for either the Harvest Festival or Dollywood’s’ Smoky Mountain Christmas.

Dollywood is great! Very good coasters. Dolly makes random appearance - we have seen her several times. If you go, make sure to try the cinnamon bread. You'll thank me later.

If you want to do a dinner show, we like Pirate's Voyage but they are all cheesy fun.

Went in March. It’s pretty damn awesome. We had a blast there the day we went. Coasters are top notch.

They really are missing out not having a giant version of her rack that you can nuzzle up too and stick your face in.

Bounce on.

Some great roller coasters. Like a really clean six flags and waits half that of Disney. The park is laid out in a big loop so it’s easy to just walk around and catch everything without backtracking. A little something for all ages along the way with a kiddie land area designated for toddlers up front if you don’t want to walk through the park to ride bigger rides.

Food is decent and shows are a nice break. Wild Eagle is a top 5 roller coaster. Dragonflier is solid too.

It was a nice park besides the insane crowds over thanksgiving. That actually made it miserable. I didn’t get to ride a single ride. Every wait was an hour. The train was 1.5 hours.

Some people may not mind the crowds but I loathe them. If I went again I’d go in the middle of the week during an off season

Mine train is such a crazy ride. Never been on one like it, was great. Lines nowhere close to Disney, better rides. Still will get crowded on weekends, we went on a Wednesday and longest wait was maybe 10 minutes. Sweet bread is delicious. Great park

I wasn’t looking forward to it-wanted to go rafting again-but we’d already promised our niece we’d go to Dollywood. We had a blast-lots of coasters and the park was exceptionally clean.
