I grew up literally next door to Disney World (I could see the fireworks every night).

Hands down, I’d take Dollywood every time.

Rollercoasters are legit. The food service is my only complaint - it took an hour of waiting in line to get chicken tenders at noon. The quick service place we went to only served chicken tenders, fries, and drinks.

You will enjoy it. Rides are legit and easy park to walk around. One big loop basically.

It’s really nice. Great coasters and it’s super clean. The food is above average as well.

The train ride is pretty cool. It's a clean less cultured park, not very expensive and the rides are pretty good. We even caught a few shows and enjoyed those as well. You can up pretty close to some Raptors at there enclosure. They had some pretty good food as far park offerings go as well.

It’s definitely become a coaster park, I miss the more craft oriented sections that were dumbed down into the same shite that you can find on the gatlinburg strip. There is still a few places that is more craft oriented but that seems to be disappearing more and more. If you like coasters though, it’s a great park.

Get the cinnamon bread at the bakery up front, skip the line at the mill.

One of my favorite places. Clean, easy to navigate, good rides for all ages. Easy to spend an entire day and do everything you want.

Fantastic family oriented park. Been countless times.

It can get hectic on weekends. Definitely try mid week if possible.

Remember going as a kid thinking this is poor man’s Disney, and it really is.

Sure it’s better than nothing. Disney is a company full of perverted leftist nut jobs, but their theme parks are obviously second to none.

It’s great Good rides, clean, friendly employees, handmade gifts instead of imported from China. Highly recommend

Yep. The only knock against it is how crowded it can get at times. But overall a great place to take the family.

Dollywood is a good time and so is the water park if you go during the summer.

We went during 4th of July this summer and the lines were negligible. There is no need to get the Dollywood version of the “fast pass.” Kids rode the Screaming Eagle and Tennessee Tornado on loop. Shows are pretty good.

The cinnamon bread at the Grist Mill is very good.

I think it’s the best balance of price, food, rides, theming and staff of any theme park I’ve been too.

When the park gets overcrowded, the experience takes a massive dip though. They sell a limited number of line jumpers. The park is also missing a really good indoor ride, so a stormy day can be a major issue.

Disney is a chore to plan nowadays, and the food is atrocious unless you want to shell out hundreds of dollars per meal and spend an hour of your time waiting on your food. Waiting on food that long with kids at a theme park is often untenable.

Even disregarding questionable ethics/politics, it’s not what it once was.

It's been a while back, but took the family and really enjoyed ourselves. There was a gentleman hand blowing glass pieces using old school methods handed down from his ancestors. There was always a crowd around him transfixed on his work in progress.
I don't know if he is still alive, but when I see or hear about Dollywood, I always think of him and his craft.
