Understand what emotion is and how it is affecting your thoughts, words, and actions. Let go of that which you fear to lose, and speak from that mindset.

Depends on the argument and what mood I am in.

Just don't argue. Don't call each other names. I don't call my wife names. we seldom argue.

This. It's called respect for each other. We have 40 years invested in each other.

We're both pretty rational so we rarely argue. On the few occassions we have we give each other a little time to cool off then come back and talk about things when we've cooled off (an hour or three).
One of the most important things is for both of you to look at it from the other's standpoint before going into that follow-up talk. This is important for accepting recognizing any fault you have in this (it also means you each are then focusing on your own faults instead of looking for what to blame the other person for).

You will never win an argument with a woman. And if you win, you lose.

About halfway trough the argument I interrupt her and say in a calm voice
“I’ve lost interest’
This works in all aspects of my life,

Divorced guy here. Listen carefully. Find her weakness. Turn it around on her
So the divorced guy says to find something she's self-conscious on or an area she's weak in and use it against her.
This is a dick move and means you're not truly genuine. This is what you do to someone that isn't on your team, not someone you care for. fricking games.
No shite you're divorced. Seems like you were always trying to one-up her instead on getting on the same page.
Terrible advice.

It’s so important to remember that you’re a team. Don’t be opponents trying to fight each other and win
Listen to what she’s saying and acknowledge it then work together as a team to solve the issue
