I just find it completely ironic that a media forum which allows and protects people to say anything has now chosen to fact check people.

Is fact checking tweets a violation of free speech? Crazy times

I don't use twitter. Of all the social networks, it's the biggest silo of psychopaths with an over inflated view of self worth.

The only issue is who's getting fact checked and who's doing the fact checking. I don't trust Twitter, YouTube or Facebook to be neutral, so I'll ignore their "fact checks".

As a defender of the free market I can never criticize a private business doing as they see fit with their own product

So basically twitter is going to become even more of an echo chamber.

Don’t care. It’s hypocritical of Twitter to do it but if we, as conservatives, use the “capitalism” argument when arguments are made against forcing cake shops to bake wedding cakes for gay couples; then we should also accept that argument as valid in this case. It’s simple. Don’t use Twitter if you have a problem with them. Hit their pocket book and the problem will correct itself.

Twitter is a private entity that can censor your posts... no such thing as free speech on social media

Twitter hasn't offered me enough to write material in or as part of their system, yet. It's not a pressing concern for me until those conditions are met.

So they should allow influential people to just say false and outlandish shite so that it’s not an echo chamber?
