Around here it happens a lot and every single time it’s either a dodge charger or expedition or crown Vic. And they are not handicapped in the least except for being a stupid arse.

My local Winn Dixie has a space for COMBAT WOUNDED VETERANS. I can't tell you how many women I've cussed out for parking in that spot without so much as a purple heart tag.

As someone who has a repaired ACL, and spine, frick that guy. My shite doesn't always hurt, but when it does, it's worse than 99% of the people I see parking there with tags.

It isn't just making handicapped people travel further. It also means their wheelchair clogs up traffic aisles because they had to park further away.

Having dealt with a very old parent who was 96 years of age, legally blind and somewhat senile, I can attest that those parking spaces are precious to those who actually need them. People using them without proper authorization really suck at life.

Yesterday, when I went to the gym, there was Hummer with a custom paint job that pulled up in a Handicap spot. There was a Handicap parking tag hanging from the mirror. Out jumps a big dude, about 30 yrs old who looked like a pro body builder. He had a huge backpack on and he was carrying another small bag. The guy had no shame at all.

In Florida, you can park in handicap spaces with a DV tag. People have DV tags for PTSD. PTSD doesn't preclude you from walking 20 or 30 ft.

Not cool, not so funny story… for years I’d go the grocery store and get a front spot, always like hmm I’m so lucky, one day I noticed a sign for veterans only parking, it’s up front but the next row over from handicap, welp never again, it’s always empty but nope.
