Yep
Skim and lowfat milk was a huge like, for a health standpoint
I stick to drinking half and half when I want a small glass, and I use whole milk for cereal

Severely overweight folks have larger issues than quitting soda.
Severely overweight people are addicted to sugar. Cutting out 100g of liquid sugar is a big step. Also, sodas provide no satiety so drinking 500 calories is way different than eating 500 calories.

Vanilla flavored is good and it's 30 calories instead of 110 and doesn't have 10g+ of sugar

Try it in coffee. Not too shabby. Get the unsweetened vanilla from HEB

I actually prefer almond milk. Really only use it for coffee or cereal though.
I never just drink a glass of milk.

quote:The human body has a way of compensating for things like this ... which is why diet drinks don’t change things for a lot of people. Like when people who exercise more but don’t lose weight because their body naturally desires more calories to compensate.
They'll absolutely get thinner or stop gaining as fast. If the above scenario is the case and that person does nothing but cuts soda they are essentially getting the same amount of calories in 8 days as they were in 7. That's a 12% difference, fairly substantial no?
The fact of the matter is that the human body is designed to store food. We’ve gone through tens of thousands of years of evolution that taught us to enjoy high calorie foods (sugar taste better celery), to eat as much as available (why we get hungry every few hours) and to store as much food as you can because you may not have food come next mealtime.
Every developed nation in the world is currently experiencing a fat wave. As soon as a population gets to the point where food is readily available, the people start getting fat.
Furthermore, only a small percentage of the population has the ability to fight off these urges. Most skinny people aren’t skinny because they spend the majority of their time focused/working on it - it comes naturally to them. So, you got only a small group that can change their “natural state,” a body designed to be very good at getting fat, and a society which makes getting food incredibly easy. Producing a more healthy population is going to take a dramatic shift in health practices and simply cutting cokes it’s going to do it.

So my opinion that milk is sweet to me is misinformed and hyperbolic? It's completely personal. I don't like mustard either, is that misinformed?
