University of Chicago.
My mom and her sister had undergraduate degrees from the University of Copenhagen in theoretical physics. They had been told there was no place for women in advanced physics in Denmark, so they moved their studies to the US. My dad was working on his doctorate at the time. My dad sort of forgot to tell my mom that he was a widower with 2 kids back in Georgia with his mother.

At college in Hammond at the Methodist Student Union. Both were Baptist, but the Methodists had a pool table.
Mom’s roommate had a crush on Dad’s roommate, so dragged Mom with her to the MSU where Dad and his roommate were playing pool.
To my knowledge the roommates never went out. Girl was kind of homely.
My parents, however, started dating that weekend, were engaged three months later, married within the year. Married 61 years. One precocious and precious child (moi) born 6 years in.
Mom’s roommate had a crush on Dad’s roommate, so dragged Mom with her to the MSU where Dad and his roommate were playing pool.
