maybe one day humans become the renewable resource to keep ai running.

Humans are the information AI needs to function. You are onto something

sounds like The Matrix

I think the bigger concern is long term the amount of resources left on earth. how long can humans continue with technology before the earth is barren of resources. and would AI turn on us to maximize the resources for itself. for instance ai could shut down electricity to humans to keep itself powered on. things could get crazy further down the road haha

I mean.. people are really turning a blind eye to all of this.
In a sense humans want to see the end times. Most people secretly crave the apocalypse. If that weren't true than post apocalyptic movies wouldn't be so popular and would instead be banned and people would fear them.
Why are people so curious about how the world ends?

By that logic, people hope to be attacked in their dreams by Freddy Krueger.

I’m a robot and self aware. You are late.

We dont really know what consciousness is or understand how it manifest in living beings. Its a fascinating subject. Here is an interesting discussion on the idea that consciousness is fundamental and reality is essentially built around it. If it is and matter interacts with a "consciousness field" of sorts then there really isnt anything to upload other than possibly memories. It far out stuff but its a far out topic. If consciousness resides purely in the brain and we could some how copy it, it would still just be a copy of you and you would die and your copy would go on, so it really wouldnt be the immortality that some humans yearn for in this tech.

Not before integrative tech like limbs, eyes, etc.
If we can’t do that, we can’t “upload a consciousness”.

Nah, we're all pretty retarded. The robots are better off without us.

I agree we are devolving

We are so far away from that being a possibility if at all you have no need to worry bout it.

At some point, the elites will kill the structure of the world as we know it, then what?
Imo it's more likely (and even worse) that they don't reach the "singularity" they're hoping for & just vaporize the planet's resources (via data centers) in the frantic race to be first.
I see this stuff from a US vs. China POV, but can you imagine being part of a small, insignificant country?? Two titans and nothing you can do to stop them

That's dumb as hell.
They can't even tell you what Consciousness is, much less put a finger on it and move it.

I'm ready for the uploading of perfect robot thinking into humans.
