We clearly have the most attractive women. Northern women are hideous beasts. Thats just a fact.
I did notice that starting in the Village, the women got better looking the further north you went toward the high rent districts
The other surprise I got in NYC was how many Arabs there were -- Allah only knows how many they have now

Imagine if the south had won.....all the Democrats and dindus would have moved north. We would be pointing and laughing about how shitty Michigan is. We would have the food, the scenery, good schools, low crime and unemployment......

Except the south didn’t win, they got their arse kicked and they couldn’t rely on slave labor anymore.

Except for business, Texas is a shithole too.

All the Louisiana hating people here love their current place they live in so much they waste all of their time posting on a Louisiana message board. Is your current state so poor they don’t have their own message board? These same people will tell people they are from Louisiana when on vacation instead of saying their current state they live in. They hate Louisiana so much on here but still claim it. GTFO and find another message board losers.

They have some miserable glass half is half empty little pessimist in this thread.
You can concentrate on the potholes and crime or you decide to appreciate the food and culture that's here. It's much cooler to be an a-hole though I guess.

This is the attitude that causes Louisiana’s problems. Got muh beer, muh football and muh king cake. I’ll just let muh government do what it wants.

You’re aware those two options aren’t mutually exclusive, right?

When was the last time you left Zachary? The 80s?

There’s nothing to be optimistic about with Louisiana. What prospects of improvement or better leadership are out there? None. It’s a shithole and will only become a worse shithole as the rest of the smart people move to other states.

Inside the borders of the united states, Louisiana is the closest thing we have to a third world country and your only frickin' answer to this is "food and culture"? That's so desperately typical of every Louisianian who believes so called "culture and food" makes this state livable or worth moving to. This lie you're living is the sorta thing that holds this state back.
I mean you really can't possibly frickin' believe shite like no last call, Mardi gras, a bunch of contrived cajun bullshite and easy attitudes about drinking and drug use put this state over the top in terms of "food and culture" do you? So a bowl of gumbo makes it worth moving to Louisiana or staying here? Really?
I moved here about 25 years ago because I work in the medical field and live like a king. That was Louisiana's only draw.
When I arrived, a friend got me acclimated pretty quick when he said this. "You can't think of Louisiana as the most dangerous and primitive state in the United states. You have have to think of it as the safest country in the Caribbean."
After that, I was ok.

The state isn’t lax on drugs, it’s just as draconian on marijuana laws as you’d expect.
