Houston woman has been detained in Dubai for 2 months for screaming at a man in public

Her mom claims after being in a car accident in her friend’s rental, she was trying to get her belongings back from the car rental place. The mom claims the guy yelled at her so she screamed back at him. A woman screaming at a man in public is against the law in Dubai and she freaked around and found out. She has now been detained for the last two months, her passport has been confiscated, and she can’t leave Dubai.

As much as people glamorize the UAE, it’s still a Muslim country. Some places are better than others, but women will never have full rights there.
