Dr. Internet says that you need to call your doctor if the fever is 103 or higher.

Underachiever.

ETA: Or if you have vaginal discharge that is discolored or smells bad.

Shivering under 3 quilts with a fan pointed at my head

Despite the chills, it might be better not to bury yourself under quilts or blankets. I once had the flu and walking pneumonia at the same time, obviously that included a high fever. My doctor told me to wear shorts/short sleeves, turn on ceiling fan, and don’t cover up or only cover up with thin sheet.

Also, stay hydrated and take ibuprofen such as Motrin.

Yeah, that was me last Thanksgiving. Lying in a bed in Bangkok, shivering, coughing up a lung, waking up in a pool of sweat, sheets soaking wet . What a nightmare. It makes you appreciate your health, that’s for sure.

102 fever and you’re under 3 quilts? Bold strategy cotton.

I don't know. I'm kinda digging the autism. Also the not dying of whooping cough.

I'd thank my mom for that, but without my keyboard, my communication is limited to high pitched screeching and refusing to make eye contact.

Rotate Tylenol and Advil. Don't listen to the people who don't have a clue in here.

Taking Tylenol too often can hurt you. That's why you rotate the two.

You can alternate. Acetaminophen every 4 hours and ibuprofen every 6. Different active ingredients that both lower fevers.

I’m warm natured (I always have a natural slightly high body temp) but I don’t remember the last time I ever had a fever

Other than seasonal allergies I’m never sick

Sorry. My wife, grandson, daughter, granddaughter have had something that causes persistent coughing, sinus and chest congestion, aches, and in general feels like warmed over death. Held my own until Wednesday, when I too succumbed. We had all kinds of company yesterday. It was great, except for how I felt. Now I am lingering - tired, coughing, congested, and glad everybody has gone home as I struggle to live.
Get well soon, mon ami.

Take sleep meds.

Also, I’m fairly certain somewhere that i have seen Someone say that essential oils or CBD/Hemp oil would cure this. Also, a vegan diet.

I'll take it. I want to go into the office today to get some work done.... But if I show up and there are people there, I won't be that guy.

Unfortunately, you will need to sleep this off. Do whatever helps you get comfortable to sleep. The body is amazing at taking care of itself, especially when our brains are on autopilot.

The quickest way to lower body temperature is through the mouth. Drink cold ice water. Let it sit in your cheeks for a few seconds and then swallow.
