Not only does it make personal hygiene 10x easier, it also is just awesome. Muscle pain? Hot shower will make it feel better for a minute. Stress? Hot shower. Feel sick? Hot shower. Even if you’re feeling depressed about something, there’s something about that damn hot water.

ETA: I’m sure there will be some reference to ease of Masturbation.

Did I say I had a hot water heater? I use my friend Bubba’s outdoor one.

There are some benefits to cold showers as well.

With that said, showers are cool and are easily turned on if you know what i mean. A couple twists and turns and it gets immediately wet.

We are renovating our home right now and the first thing we changed was adding huge arse showers.

I love a good arse shower. Especially with those fancy handheld arse shower heads.

Hot showers are pretty much a known thing... and not necessarily just for modern homes.

Now, if you really mean, "under-appreciated things that you typically don't talk about"... ok, showers falls on that list.

But there are very few items on that list above, "clean sheets day". Man, I love the feel of clean sheets.

After Katrina my saving grace was that I could still take a warm shower.

Hey Vern, don’t touch that. It may be Luke.

Having a large walk-in shower is the first thing I look at in a new home. This along with water pressure and what type of water heater. I like my water hot. My wife is concerned with the kitchens, but I want a large shower.

bought an older house 2 years ago that had been flipped\upgraded. 1 of the original items left was the hot water heater. inspector said its as old as the house. good ole fashion product that could last 10 more years, or die tomorrow.....we got 2 years out of it.

fast forward to this summer, we replaced it.......then comes winter. the unit that starts the spark for the pilot goes out. no hot water for 4-5 days.......i told the guy who replaced it, if you want to get back into shape and be committed to the gym, have your hot water heater go out. i went workout and showered after 5 straight days.......and still going. but i agree, nothing beats a hot arse shower. it could 100 degrees with 100% humidity and i just spent 2 hours cutting my grass, i'm going steam my arse off in a hot shower.

You think hot showers are underrated then you should try cold showers. Muscle pain? Cold shower. Boost your immune system? Cold shower. Depressed? Cold shower. Tired and sleepy? Cold shower. Healthier for your skin? Cold shower. Increase metabolism? Cold shower. Get your freak on while masturbating? Cold shower.

Was working out of town and staying in a hotel and had a supervisor say that there aren't many things in this world that can consistently make you feel good like taking a hot shower can. I definitely agree with him there. I also remember as a little kid, like 5 or so and always taking some toys with me in the shower and just sitting on the tub floor playing with the toys in the shower. I remember thinking then that I would love to just live in the shower and never get out. I even imagined a butler bringing me everything I ever needed to the shower curtain.

I also think showers are a good way to warm your bones up from a cold arse day of work, where you are chilled to the bone.

It's up there but AC has it beat.

For the best hot shower experience you gotta go tankless. Game changer for me .
