home repair question- anyone use or will get porcelain tile that looks like wood

wife likes it, looked decent enough at home depot yesterday
any thoughts on it?
house appropriate with a 4 month old and 2 dogs?

I have it in my master bathroom, works well with floor warmers too. Everyone thinks it is real wood.

My dad is putting some down out on his patio. From the phone pics he showed me this weekend, it looks pretty good. More durable than wood, and if installed correctly it will look great.

Just built a home with it and we love it. Everyone that's come over has commented on them and several don't believe us when we tell them they're porcelain tile. I like them for cleanup purposes and durability. You don't have to worry about them scratching like real wood and can use just about any cleaner on them

It's very durable. To women it looks like wood they would probably never know the difference, if you have any kind of rehab/ construction background it certainly is obviously tile. But it's fantastic for areas that get walked on a lot.
Definitely do a darker grout that matches the tile and do as thin of grout lines as possible.

I love it, make sure it's a rectified tile and use a good installer familiar with it so you get things grout lines. I got cerdomas tile in mine, I posted some pics in a thread a week or so ago.

we did a large den with it and love it. it has a texture similar to wood so dog/baby have no problems slipping around. as durable a floor as you can get. ours had a slightly beveled edge, so we laid them with no space between tiles and it left a very small grout line. we used grout that blends with the tile and it looks great.

We have it in our living and dining rooms and bedroom. People can't believe it's not wood. Porcelain or ceramic, both have raised wood grain, come in a lot of different varieties or types of wood-look. One type is more expensive than the other by a little, but compared with a real new hardwood floor, and with toddlers and dogs, tile is the smart, most durable, economical and very, very attractive option of choice. Make sure your grout is dark if your wood tile is dark, light if it's light and it will hardly be noticeable.

Yep, we put down 1,000 sq ft of it when we did an addition a few years ago. I put it all down myself too. Despite that fact it still looks good.

Put it down in the whole house I just built.
Dog peed on it this weekend while we were gone. Cleaned up easy peasy.
And it looks great. Sequoia ballpark looks good if you have white cabinets/trim.

I've used it in a few of my spec houses and everyone loves it. People with big dogs really like it because they can't scratch it.

I've seen it in store, and saw it as flooring at a restaurant in New Orleans. Love the look. If I had to replace wood, I would definitely go with the tile.

Well, I'm old school and the few I saw look like shite/fake. Really if you know what real wood floors are.
