Our federal government needs to be cut by 90% and everything be given back to the States. Only thing that’s going to save us.

If you cut the fed by 90% and include Tariffs on foreign goods reciprocally, each State can then give tax breaks and regulations for specific industries that make sense for their State

Yikes

This is the biggest issue facing current home sales. New Mortgage applications have dropped to all time lows. Home prices correct themselves in markets like this.

You're only dating the rate. You marry the price.

Problem is, we're still in the upper right quadrant of the home prices / interest rate chart.

Most people have been living in a recession since 2021.

Dropping 10k house price doesn’t matter much with insurance out of control

More like with interest rates returning to historic averages. The difference between a $300,000 loan at 4% and 7% is around $500/month.

the speck house monstrosity cookie cutter neighborhoods are going to help lower prices as elite money investors buy up old neighborhoods, and old neighborhood younger folks take the money and run to get out of choking mortgages

they'll be like Ray Liotta in Goodfellas "living like a smuck" in a speck house and they'll be able to breathe until they mature financially and then maybe move back to the more desirable spots with restaurants walking distance down the street from the house

Construction materials are already up 25-35% on many things and will most likely only go up

that's been happening for five years or more

young people who've been renting for the past ten years won't be able to afford shite on a mortgage, so the prices are going to have to come down to grab the young people market

We had 2 consecutive quarters of falling GDP, which in fact defines recession. Yet Biden and his puppet masters tried to say we were not in a recession, and tried to use "alternate facts" to convince us otherwise. So the poster was spot on, and you mocking otherwise looks retarded.

They were allowed to just say anything and it passed muster. Trump can’t fart without it causing an extinction event in the Amazon for some butterflies no one has ever seen.

I have mixed feelings on this. It isn't fair that our manufacturing has to compete with other countries that have no regulations and zero compulsions with literally working their citizens to death.

I'm perfectly fine with reaping the benefits of their hard work.

The word is "sills". But you are right. Have the homeowner bake a batch of cookies or some fresh baked bread to put that great aroma in the house before they show it.

I lost a 20 plus year manufacturing business due to China. The tariffs did not keep me in business 2016-2020. Although I stand ready to get back in, it ain't going to stop China from putting containers of product here at the same or more likely slightly cheaper than I can do it.

Amen to that LSU fan Houston. Amen. What can you do when Dad gum Homer's owner's insurance is through the roof?
