What is the difference between the outrage over this one lion killed by a hunter while hundreds are killed by poachers and the outrage when a black individual is killed by a white man while hundreds are killed by other blacks?

The answer is, there is no difference.

This is where you and I aren't seeing eye-to-eye.

Your position seems to be that media attention = outrage. Like I said, there are many anti-poaching efforts that are currently out there whose participants would be classified as "outraged" by poaching. Just because they're not getting regular media attention, however, doesn't mean that people don't care about it, and shouldn't therefore be upset by the killing of Cecil.

The reason this is getting attention is because we can't be outraged at particular poachers, because we don't know they are. They're typically faceless Chinese/eastern European dudes who don't get caught. If a poacher had his identity/Facebook exposed, you can bet plenty of people would spam and abuse the shite out of their social media pages. In this instance, it is an American dentist (who some would claim used poaching tactics) and American SJWs are the worst, so that's why we're hearing more about it.

For the record, I'm with you on the hypocritical outrage concerning black-on-black crime. I just don't think this is necessarily comparable, because hunting isn't the same as gun violence.

quote:

No one cares about poaching right now because all the focus is put on big game hunting, which has an astronomically smaller impact.

Again, a lot of people care about poaching. A lot. It is just harder to enforce when you live in the United States. There are plenty of people who have gone to Africa, however, to help out with the cause.

all of the Internet warriors are to blame.

I agree with you here.

Sure they can. How many of those assholes that put shite on that dentist's door/office went around town to other places to show their outrage about any other issues?

I'd venture to guess the number will be hovering around the ZERO mark. This is just the outrage du jour.

I personally could not give a frick if they staged lion vs baby seal cage matches. They're fricking animals. I believe something illegal was done but I do not think (at this time) that is was the dentist that did it.

Fact: White liberals care more about dead African animals than dead African American males.

Fact: White females and gays are the only privileged groups in America.

You should be ashamed of using that esteemed Catholic institution's logo. You are not what Georgetown/Jesuits/Catholics stands for. Standing up for this cretin? C'mon dude.

I forked over a TON of dough for the right to use that logo.

and FWIW GULC has essentially nothing to do with Catholicism. Jews outnumber Gentiles there.

Why on earth is political ideology becoming the focus of this conversation?

That's not what it says. It says they could "face extinction" by 2050. It also says their greatest threat is human expansion.

We should ban human expansion.

Initially I thought this guy was done but all he has to do is:

1. Move his practice to a red state;

2. Fill his new office with his trophies from "hunting" (baiting);

3. Scrape Copenhagen and Skoal stains off rednecks teeth or tooth; and

4. Make millions

Because people are retards. Limbaugh has been bleating this shite turning it into a planned parenthood attack.

He's lifting up the strawman that people care more about a lion poached by a needle dick dentist than selling aborted baby parts.

Similar to what others have done in the same threads on here.

If they're willing to protest one thing, why wouldn't they protest something else? Maybe they're just as angered about some things you care about too.

I wish they'd let all of the undesirable people in this country just have Thunderdome style cage matches. It'd be a great way to thin the heard of the unnecessary.

Fine with me, I for one don't want a bunch of diseased 3rd world powder kegs like Bangladesh or Nigeria to keep growing and consuming every resource in sight

Redneck racist retards vs. worthless ghetto thugs.

Poaching hunters unarmed cage matches vs. Lions.

There should still be living African lions in captivity, but living lions in the wild could be completely gone.
