If you travel a lot and want true lifetime luggage, then Briggs and Riley or Travelpro Platinum Elite. Both will fix them for life even if the airline breaks them, B&G doesn't even require registration or proof of purchase.

I’m all Tumi and travel pros top line. Been all over the US and world with them and my only complaint is that my right Tumi strap is stretched out because I one arm carry it 99% of the time. They’ll fix it but I have to send it back and that’s just hard to do since I live out of that thing.

I travel a lot. 12-24 weeks a year all on planes.

I had an eye opening experience in 2018. Went to china for a manufacturing expose, ALL and I mean ALL of luggage you see is made in the same province of china. Louis Vuitton, Goyard, Gucci, Rimowa, Riggs, Tumi, Samsonite- all those internal parts come from the same 5-6 manufacturers in china just have a different skin/shell. I have a $100 bag from Amazon that has lasted me 4 years and I’ll get another one when it dies. Zero reason to pay for quality luggage. My wife wants that away luggage and I chuckled and said it’s the same as the stuff you see at TJ Maxx just a different molding and they forced a battery pack you don’t need into it.

Early in my career I sprung for a travel pro carry-on. 30 years later, and I am still using the same bag. Once, I had to send it in for some work and they refurbished the whole bag! If I had it to do all over again, I would do exactly the same thing.

If you see airline pilots using them, they can’t be all that bad!

TravelPro Platinum Elite has a lifetime warranty and I know people that has had them for 30 years. Mine is about 2 years old and looks brand new still.

One can very easily found Briggs & Riley on eBay that has been used only once or twice for about 1/3 the retail price. B&R is phenomenal stuff; lifetime warranty, no questions asked. Superior to Tumi, IMO.
