I bought a Peak Design carry on last year and it has been amazing.
the handle is the bomb.

Wife has a Tumi and they are both excellent.

If you travel a lot and want true lifetime luggage, then Briggs and Riley or Travelpro Platinum Elite.

I have B&G carry-on that's by far my favorite luggage I've ever owned and I've been traveling 35+ years. It's about 5 years old now and is absolutely perfect. My TP PE is a large checked luggage soft. I have had the spinner wheel replaced for free and quickly, but it broke again while I'm in Europe for a couple years so I'm pretty pissed about it right now. There's no help as it's a USA warranty and nobody out here has these types of parts.

I am very very pro backpack carry-on; the Veria 50L is my goto. And no, never ever has someone asked me to put it under the seat in front of me and there is no way it would fit.

I've converted all my luggage and backpacks to Briggs & Riley. It's expensive but the quality is stellar.

I was gifted a Level 8, and I absolutely love it. I've been on the road for roughly 14 weeks so far this year, and it's been great.

If my carry on costs $400, there better be $300 cash inside when I leave the store with it.
