And now you know.
Ironically several of these were included in the black ops thriller I just finished reading. You could see it coming from a mile away!

How much of a deviant do you have to be to not be able to go an hour or two without one of your orifices crammed…
This incident was posted on the OT a while back. She thought it was all silicon and didn't realize it had metal in it.

Does it affect all metal or only ferrous metal?
Non ferous metals pose problems too. They can heat up and cause burns internally and externally. If it can conduct electricity, current can be induced into the metals from the time varied magnetic field. The RF we use in MRI can also burn you...skin touching skin that is wet from sweating can cause an RF burn.
We essentially microwave you in MRI.

The same question is still relevant : is she so deviant that she can’t take the butt plug out for 20 minutes?

The metal in tat ink is frightening. Screw tats.
It's only certain inks, and I don't think they're commonly used in regular shops. Maybe prison ink or homemade ink, but I've never even been asked where any of mine were done during an MRI.

I'm clean. I don't wear or bring any of that stuff with me when I get an MRI.

It’s pretty much standard procedure that non-ferrous O2 tanks are used in an MRI suite if a patient is transported from a different department. Otherwise in wall gases are used. Mistakes obviously happen, but there are rigorous procedures when instructing an out patient to gown up for a scan. Pre scan interviews include a patient’s history of device implants, like pacemakers, pain stimulators, event recorders, etc. Many of theses are MRI safe. History of trauma that involves pieces of metal shrapnel in the body must be documented as well.

Yep. Asking about at history of welding (one of the OT’s favorite professions) is a common question.

Don’t wear nipple rings during an MRI.

Hate MRI. All you uppity smart arse science folk out there need to come up with a better way.

AI says: Women can generally have an MRI with an IUD in place. Most common IUDs, including hormonal (Mirena, Skyla, Liletta) and copper (ParaGard) types, are considered MR-safe or MR-conditional, meaning they do not move or overheat significantly during the scan
Pretty brave to take a chance that your IUD doesn’t have any ferrous material.

Just get that CT scan radiation

The butt plug getting sucked out by the MRI machine would be an interesting explanation
