Driving on a somewhat lightly traveled 4-lane highway I see a young(ish) rattlesnake making its way across the first lane. Through a series of u-turns, driving slow, and flashers on at one point I was able to help it get all the way across the road. This was in a rural area and I never got out of the truck.

Good looking snake, appeared only have a few rattles.

Does anyone else here do stuff like this?

It went on to bite a father of three, leaving a widow and orphans.

When on snake death row, it said "if only weagle had went upon his way and let the inevitable happen, a grieving widow wouldn't be drowning her sorrows in cheap gin."

Is there a rattlesnake shortage that I'm unaware of?

snakes re beneficial to the ecosystem. Their main diet is rodents, which cause more damage than snakes. If in a rural area, I let venomous snakes pass, if in a populated are, I dispatch venomous snakes. Never harm a non venomous.

The idiot father tried to kill it and ended up getting bit, whereas if he had have let it go on its way he wouldnt have gotten fatally injured.

I hope all of the would be tik tokers thinking about making a snake handling video were paying attention to just how fast that snake struck him.

They are faster than you can possibly think about reacting to, especially if you have been downing your White Claws and taking gummies.

Always amazes me. If there is any truth to Australian life TV shows. It appears city area, Australian Brown. Rural area black snake. Really rural, taipan.

Watch this movie. You will like the ending and it’s a great movie anyway. Kirk Douglas and Henry Fonda.
