We've had to make 1 insurance claim in 20 years and it was for roof. Unless you get hit with a tornado MOST storms do not cause you to have to completely rebuild.

You are at risk of mother nature anywhere. Tornados, blizzards, earthquakes, drought, etc. Can't let that dictate where you live.

No, but I think its pretty obvious the risk is much higher living along the SE coast.

For me I would like the mountains just as good as the beach. I'll probably move if something isn't done about out of control insurance rates.

right. But you are at much higher risks in some places vs others. This isn't difficult....nor is it really a conversation we should be having in this particular thread so im done with it.

That is a bad look for inland flooding concerns. That puts 8-12" of rain in the foothills. It doesn't take much in those hills and hollers to really cause problems.

NC has seen unprecedented amounts of rain this summer - it's astounding how much that state has been pummeled.

Apologies for this possibly dumb question, but is there a decent possibility that this thing kicks west a bit?

Which is crazy because WV, VA, and OH are in the midst of pretty bad droughts. It goes to show that it is a big ol' country we live in.

Since y'all both asked, it cancels out and it goes straight down the middle.

It is limited to how far west it could go. The front moving through is what is pushing it east, and the primary reason we haven't really seen much windshield wiping going on with the track.

Not sure why you think that is funny you dumbass. Some either live near those areas or have family there.

Are we expecting to see some cooler weather this far south when this front comes through?
