Heart Disease leading cause of death in america

Louisiana has the 5th highest mortality rate from heart disease in the country per CDC of 2016 https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/pressroom/sosmap/heart_disease_mortality/heart_disease.htm
Heart Disease or atherosclerosis is the stiffening of the inner arterial walls due to plaque build up. This can be caused by poor diet, lack of exercise or smoking.
About 610,000 people die of heart disease in the United States every year–that's 1 in every 4 deaths. Heart disease is the leading cause of death for both men and women. More than half of the deaths due to heart disease in 2009 were in men
Heart Disease can be attributed to our animal product based diets in America. Plaque is formed from LDL, meats and animal products are extremely high in cholesterol. Simply eating eggs will put you 5 times over the daily recommended cholesterol intake.
Too much cholesterol, high levels of LDL in particular, may cause atherosclerosis, a condition in which plaque (which is made up of cholesterol, fat, calcium, and other substances found in the blood) is deposited in artery walls, blocking the blood flow to vital organs, which can result in high blood pressure or stroke.
Love you guys, be safe

Something is always going to be the leading cause of death. But guess what never changes; Death.
So I say enjoy the ride while it lasts...by eating whatever the hell makes you happy. No complaining though when the time comes.

How else are people supposed to die?

can't enjoy life if you aren't alive
but again i'm no saint... I hate vegetables. I eat mostly animal based foods, but i'm trying to correct my diet. I feel like people need to see this, this is not like some stupid soccer mom telling their kids sugar is bad blah blah blah. This is killing us point blank. I still enjoy my canes but unfortunately I need to cut it out.

Disregard the disgusting amount of refined sugars Americans shovel down their throats. One of the biggest problems we face today is sugar. I hope those lobbyist enjoy hell

Or bad genetics. I eat healthy, exercise, and don’t smoke. However, my active and non-smoking dad had a heart attack at 40. Unfortunately, our blood work looks pretty similar.

I can agree to an extent, meat causes diabetes more so than sugar. Also excessive sugar does contribute to heart disease aswell, but again sugar is a carb none the less. It is natural for us to consume sugar and people with low blood sugar can benefit from sugary beverages.

sugar is a carb it's all broken down into glucose, doesn't matter if you eat 500lbs of rice or a case of Dew a day it's all the same right

Fed Up is a great documentary on this. I never knew the backstory on why sugar is the only thing that doesn't have a percentage for daily allowance on the standardized information labels.

Uncle croaked in 2004.
His diet was oyster poboys from St Roch grocery, the occasional steak pan fried in butter and hi-balls made with Canadian Club.
His exercise regiment consisted of walking from his car to Chesterfield's - his favorite watering hole.
He was 104.

horseshite. Is this 2018 or is it 1960? Most people have the worlds information a finger tip away, yet they ignore it.

There such an ABSURD amount of misinformation in your post, it's hard to know where to start, so I'll just go in order of appearance:
Here's where the abject falsehoods begin:
Utter nonsense. WTF? Do you want me to dismantle any bullshite you cite to try to support this? I will over the weekend if I get some time. It isn't difficult, but I'd like to totally expose the ridiculousness of this statement.
Literally all false. (okay except perhaps the simple definition of atherosclerosis)
Are you trolling? (I feel like I just fell for another NPC troll.)
