I'm not saying he did or didn't.
I'm saying that runway off of Hoo Sho Too Rd. is paved and a VFR checkpoint.

True on the backwards stuff,
it was truly a circus

Mr. Volz says the jurors' isolation will protect them from ''the Roman circus atmosphere'' that surrounded the courthouse last fall, when the Governor's antics, such as ''eating ice cream and walking backwards and eating peanuts,'' wound up on television news programs. Once the Governor arrived at the courthouse by horse and buggy. In such an atmosphere, Mr. Volz said, ''you lose track of the facts to concentrate on the personalities.''

Does your first name start with L? If so we know each other. Won't put last name initial out because that would be too obvious who you are.

yep....one of those guys.
The story of how they got prosecuted, and how nobody rolled on Edwin because there was actually nothing to roll on, is very interesting. They made millions putting hospitals in places that the current hospitals were lying about ghost beds in in an era of certificates of need. The hospitals that they helped to get built down the road from the old broken down hospitals pissed a lot of high powered people off..the game was up and they could not short the people of their communities hospital beds anymore just to stay full and profitable. Everyone made it out to be that Edwin and crew were crooks when in fact they provided many new construction jobs and permanent hospital jobs, and more tax base, on top of brand new facilities to replace the old. The prosecution was bullshite because Voltz wanted Edwin as prize on his wall, and to try them twice when the first vote was 11-1 not guilty was a travesty to the tax payers....it was something to live through, and changed my mind about the bogus media coverage forever. I have never read a newspaper since that time, or believed anything I saw on the TV news. A real education for a 20 something.

Anyone have a link to further reading about Barry Seal?

After reading this stuff, I wonder if the 1992 presidential election in which Clinton won was a farce. And if that election was a "high school play", then likely there were others.

Good thing you didn't get it..The trial lasted for frickin' ever....except the second one where they rested without presenting a defense. Try that move for scaring the jack shite out of you!

I definitely believe that, and would believe even more incredible stories about him.

Didn't Seal have George Bush's personal number in his brief case or something?

I heard a story many years ago and have never been able to verify its legitimacy. As the story I was told goes a young ewe just into his political career was having a somewhat secret relationship with an under age girl in the Jennings, lake Arthur area. As the story goes her dad found out about it and put a end to it. Supposedly he owned some car dealerships and had another lady call ewe to meet her at a motel, when ewe showed up 3 of his mechanics were there and beat the shite out of ewe. Beat him so bad he had to be taken to the hospital and he was taken to orange Texas and admitted under another name. Has anyone else heard this story, if so is there in truth to it or how accurate is this story.

Well, it is because the majority of people have very low standards in life.
