Yes, I remember beating the shite out of it because someone had told me that but it didn’t work.
It never dragged or anything. It just went out with no warning.

I had this exact thing happen in my wife’s 2021 Denali Yukon last week when I ran up to our vet’s office. Died in the entrance to the office blocking it. Wouldn’t start, couldn’t shift it into neutral to move it out of blocking. Had to call a wrecker to pick it up and haul it to the dealership. They fixed it immediately, no charge.
