Headed for the mountains and leaving social media behind

We will be off for the Rockies soon and have decided to can that shite up while we are out there.
The idea is to honestly see how poisonous it really is to all levels of health.
No more quick fixes for boredom.....if we aint hiking or rafting, we'll marinate or meditate on the porch watching the peaks.
And, a few weeks after that, it's Apalachicola and lines in the water.
frick all this static.

Other than TD, most of us have long since cut the Social Media cord.
True OT Ballers don’t need Facebook.
Have a great trip and don’t fall off a mountain.

there’s a magic in the mountains,
When you’re far above the fray,
When the static all falls silent,
And the nonsense fades away,
When the sunset down the valley,
Like a velvet shadow falls,
As the violence turns to silence,
And you hear the mountains call.
When you’re far above the fray,
When the static all falls silent,
And the nonsense fades away,
When the sunset down the valley,
Like a velvet shadow falls,
As the violence turns to silence,
And you hear the mountains call.

Ha! frick your mountain. I'm building a spaceship.
I'm out of this fricking place. I saved a spot for a couple hookers. When I get tired of them I'll trick them into "spacewalking" out to fix the antenna.
I'm done with this sorry planet.
About to bone down some alien bitches.
Peace out. Live long and prosper.

Social media is like McDonalds. You might crave, even just a bite, but as soon as you start you recognize how bad it makes you feel. I can tell you from experience the mountains are the best cure.

This may be you:
He was born in the summer of his 27th year
Coming home to a place he'd never been before
He left yesterday behind him, you might say he was born again
You might say he found a key for every door
When he first came to the mountains his life was far away
On the road and hanging by a song
But the string's already broken and he doesn't really care
It keeps changing fast and it don't last for long
But the Colorado rocky mountain high
I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky
The shadow from the starlight is softer than a lullabye
Rocky mountain high (Colorado)
He climbed cathedral mountains, he saw silver clouds below
He saw everything as far as you can see
And they say that he got crazy once and he tried to touch the sun
And he lost a friend but kept his memory
Now he walks in quiet solitude the forest and the streams
Seeking grace in every step he takes
His sight has turned inside himself to try and understand
The serenity of a clear blue mountain lake
And the Colorado rocky mountain high
I've seen it raining fire in the sky
You can talk to God and listen to the casual reply
Rocky mountain high
Now his life is full of wonder but his heart still knows some fear
Of a simple thing he cannot comprehend
Why they try to tear the mountains down to bring in a couple more
More people, more scars upon the land
And the Colorado rocky mountain high
I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky I know he'd be a poorer man if he never saw an eagle fly

Bring a slingshot. It is a lot of fun when sitting on the porch.

Take Drew Brees and Brittany with you please. They need to leave SM behind too.

Right there with you, brother. Colorado, Carolina. There’s a lot more to this world than money, status, politics, and social media.
Be with and love your wife, teach your children, and be happy.

Social media is a cancer on society overall. Does way more harm than good.
