Been looking for a truck for a while and so I've read alot of descriptions and always chuckle at the folks who go over the top to sound hard in their description.

This one is my favorite of late. Some Houma baw sitting on the couch wondering why no one wants his shite (besides it being overpriced)

quote:

PLEASE NOTE: If you are reading this ad, the truck IS STILL available. Please DO NOT email asking if it is still available. I won't respond. And please DO NOT email me asking me what the lowest I'll go. If $27,999 is too much for you or you don't believe my truck is worth $27,999, then make me an offer otherwise move on. If you make me an offer and I like your offer, I'll respond, if I don't, I won't.

Anyone else take this approach when trying to sell a vehicle?

ETA: This was on Autotrader, not Facebook

People are equally clowns when buying things. I’ve sold many things on Facebook or Mercari, and people ask the dumbest questions.

Maybe you should make an offer and stop bitching.

Supply and demand. You are in demand he has the supply

Baw is a little aggressive, but this right here is annoying as frick. Some meth head asking if my $10 ice chest is still available that I posted 30 minutes ago before nodding off on drugs and forgetting about it. Repeat ad nauseum.

have you ever sold a vehicle? if you have, you know exactly how he feels and why the ad says that, except the partv about wanting to know if it's still for sale.

Oh, I agree. 100%. But at the end of the day, as a salesman, I'm trying to make money off of my item... not shun people.

This listing just oozes problematic transaction with the seller.

From reading that it seems to me that he is just trying to make the process as efficient and painless as possible for all parties.

If it's on Facebook marketplace, I think it signs them up for alerts if you change price. I simply respond with thumbs up and carry on. takes less than 1 second.

Thankfully, there's more supply than demand, and thus, I can bitch.

Is this thread still available? Can you meet me at the Kroger in Katy so I can see it? Will you take a post from my brother-in-law from Canada while I sort mine out?

I like to post great deals and say "If it's still posted, it's available....don't ask". The when people make an offer, I just tell them it sold already.

Seems he could’ve just stated “offers potentially considered” but some people are wordy.

Part of the problem is we have a lot of "listers" but few "sellers"

Part of the problem is the general public is as dumb as a pile of rocks.
