I had a summer job working with a state agency when I was in college. I sat next to a girl who had just recently graduated from LSU with an English degree. One day she leans over and asks me how to spell, of all words, "academic". Never mind the fact that she was sitting in front of a computer with Microsoft Word as well as the internet. I couldn't believe it.

I work with some school administrators who hold Doctorates that can barely speak proper English. I'd love to read their dissertations.

Remember the Survivor season that kicked off with everyone running up hill?
One chick was an Olympic track medal winner. She fricking sucked at running up that hill. Barely made it.
P.S. Military experience does not mean much in and of itself. Employers who believe otherwise often get burned by tards who they hire simply because they were in the military. Some are good, some are tards, just like the rest of us.

She thought it was smuffed. How does someone who is barely literate get a degree, and then actually get certified to teach kids? Degree mill universities like Southern are really diluting the value and accomplishment of even earning a degree. If it was up to me I would require college students to take a basic literacy test much like the ACT/SAT where they have to get at minimum a certain score prior to awarding them with a college diploma.

1 I wouldn't go by Survivor as an indicator of anything.
2 Having a degree may not indicate competency, or even intelligence, depending on the area of study. It does show that you had enough drive to finish what you started, and that's worth something.
