No. I just think a statue should serve the values of the whole community, not just parts of it.
A statue is not the same as a museum artifact. It's not meant to 'remind us of history.' it's meant to honor people who did great things. Some people don't believe partaking in slavery and commiting treason against America is statue-worthy.

I'm not threatened by them. I'm just not so close minded that I refuse to hear someone else's point of view.

Its a shame removing statues doesnt make the inner city murder rates go down, the school systems improve, or the social welfare get fixed. Its almost as if statue removal doesnt fix; morals, education, or work ethic. Oh well, those that have those things continue to succeed in life.
