You have now established that, in your belief, the reason Mt Rushmore exists is to celebrate racism and slavery.
Uhhhhhh nope. Not at all. But mount Rushmore does depict a slave owner and it does depict a racist who believed whites were superior to blacks.

With that type of logic there is no doubt why statue supporters are getting their arse handed to them in these efforts.
Uhhhhhh... I'm giving you your next target brotatochip. You wanna go for the racist and the slave owners... Well... There are two right there on Mount Rushmore.
I couldn't care less about the statues being Removed. I just think it's absolutely hilarious the glaring hypocrisy of the pro-removal Side.
Why do you condone such oppressive statues?

Worried? We didn't waste weeks and weeks of civic legislation, protests, etc., on it.
We just up and sold the bitch.
at your statues no longer standing.

Exactly. They'll wait for the other "progressives" to tell them the next thing they should be upset and outraged about.

You've made it this far in the thread and cannot figure out why confederate statues are being singled out.
Sit in your plantation tonight and think about why. Alongside the memories of when your family used to be important.

Sooooo..... You're okay with a massive head of a slave owner carved into a mountain?
What about that racist sack of shite who authorized the trail of tears?

Used? My family is still quite important. We own over 5k acres of land. We employ over 200 people. I'd say we're still doing quite well for ourselves.

Cool....I guess. But the thousands and thousands of impoverished ghettos aren't going anywhere. Maybe don't waste weeks and weeks on that? But hey, congrats on the great victory. So much to be proud of.
I'm sure the situation in Orange Mound has instantly improved!

As long as it isn't wearing a confederate uniform or celebrating slavery, yes.

I live on the border of Orange Mound, take walks through it daily.
Tell me more about my city, dipshit.

Really? Point it out?
Slavery is okay as long as your name is George Washington.
Believing that white men are above black men is okay as long as you're abe lincoln.
Killing thousands of Indians as you drive them from their land is ok as long as you're Andrew Jackson.
Shall I continue?
Didn't even take 30 seconds

Again, what celebrates slavery more than preserving and making a museum out of a slave owners home where the institution was actually practiced?
Like I said, your argument is so inconsistent. Wait for the next thing for them to tell you to be outraged about.

At least now you can take walks in that damned racist park!

And none of the statues of those guys was erected in celebration, memorial, or reverence for those attributes or beliefs.
Which can't be said for the likes of Jefferson Davis and his ilk.
Get it?

So a statue of Jefferson Davis and George Washington are next to each other. Neither are in military regalia. Neither have a plaque saying anything about them or their lives/accomplishments.
Which one do you knock down and why?
Both rebels. Both traitors. Both slave owners. Which is good. Which is bad?
Remember. There is no context to said statues. They just exist in a vacuum.

The statue tonight was erected at his gravesite.
I do agree with you on this though. I think statues erected during the civil rights era as a middle finger to the movement should be removed.
Problem is, many of them weren't and the mob is unwilling to differentiate between the two.

Yes.
You could've been a slave owner and not had your entire image consumed by it.
Washington isn't on the mountain for his slave owning.
Jackson isn't in the square for his Indian killing.
Lee was wearing battle gear
PGT was wearing battle gear
Forrest was wearing battle gear.
What war were they fighting?
