Like complains about everything you do?
- way you great customers
- way you submit reports
- if you play music
- if your data doesn't look like theirs

Just being petty about everything in life? How miserable are these people?

I try to be the petty person. It's much more enjoyable that way.

Last week, I yelled at a coworker for oversalting the fries, despite the fact that they were completely in regulation.

You won't have to worry about it when the Yankees or Dodgers pay you 1 billion next season.

Oh god yes. There was a black chick who started working for the company I was in years ago. She started as a receptionist and the company paid for her to get an IT degree. After that, she was promoted to IT and immediately 'wasn't getting paid what she was worth.' She started going on interviews during work and when she finally did get a job elsewhere, she downloaded a bunch of work software to the office computers without paying. The company had a legal situation and ended up paying a fine, I think.

But yeah, that was their thanks for paying for her to get a real skill.

I'm sure I've come across as petty to a few people, usually it's after going over the same thing with them 45 times and they've clearly entered weaponized incompetence territory. I've gotten better as I've aged though.

What kinda dimwit chooses the last name of a baseball player as their username? Are you 13 years old?

Now get your fat arse back to the fry cooker and quit complaining like a little girl.

How's that for petty?

A lot of them. Like yesterday, most of my co-workers left work to march in a protest against wearing a black shirt and khaki pants or jeans on the job.

If you're the boss, it's not petty. People like my wife want things done her way (kinda OCD) but she's the one who gets the blame if something goes wrong so...

Long time ago I had a VP that refused to put me under her director because the director would argue the most insane nonsense in meetings and her employees would never challenge her. I knew our system in and out and she was around when it was built. Things had changed and she didn't keep up. It brought me great pleasure to sit in meetings to keep her in check. I would state things matter of factly and she would lose her mind every time I did it because we were in meetings with other VPs and she didn't like a lower employee challenging her/correcting her.
