Have you ever personally met a transgender or non-binary person?

Like not just seen them in a store or something, but actually met them?

My brother told me that he has a non-binary coworker at his job.

TBH, it seems even weirder than transgender to me. I can kind of see how some kind of brain issue can cause people to imagine they’re a different gender. (Not that society should be catering to their delusions.) But I’m not even sure how people can come to believe they have no gender.

There’s one in my building and I’ve seen the progression from fat ugly feminine dude to fat ugly nightmare fuel troon. I haven’t talked to him.

Yes, I’ve gotten to know several over the years. Most are decent harmless people, just strange.

A female to male post transition guy came to my grandmother’s funeral about a year ago. I guess he is a relative of one of my grandmother’s old best friends from her youth. I had heard of him before and after the transition and it was nice to meet him. Just a regular person

Yeah, used to work with a dude who pretended to be a woman all of the sudden. He was a vendor of mine. I had worked with him off and on for years, and the oddest part to me was having to call him a different name all of the sudden. Like your used calling this dude Rick for 5 years and all of the sudden I've got to call him Rhonda. Only one I've ever met I believe.

Some friends of ours have a trans niece and nephew. They are brother and sister (parents are super liberal) and the girl thinks she is a boy and the boy thinks he is a girl.

Many many moons ago I worked for a small non-profit and one of the ladies who volunteered with the group was married to a British Airways pilot. He was completely normal when he was flying for BA, but when he got back to Atlanta he dressed in women's clothing. This was late 90s/early 2000s so back then transgender wasn't really in the lexicon. I think the term they used was crossdressing.

My wife (no pics) is an infusion nurse and has treated a few for prostate cancer. She said they’ve been nice and not like the crazies on tv but you could tell they were men.

My sister flirted with nonbinary for a bit... she was very lowkey about it. I think she's back to normal now.

Hers was I think the isolation during covid, working with a zippertits and being enmeshed with the anime crowd online.

Once she got a drivers license, a car, an adult job, etc... she was fine.

Was it the whole prostate cancer thing that clued her in?
