They have similar tastes and hobbies, they get along with each other. If you are a fat dumb slob, they won't tend to have anything in common with you. Being out of someone’s league is typically low self esteemed horse shite.
Are there extremes? Sure.
But, those gorgeous people have their fair share of flaws. Personality goes a VERY long way.
