There’s no leagues, no rules, all of those are in your head. So until you fix your head there’s no way you’ll be able to make a play for it anyway.
And if you do, you use whatever cards you’ve got available. If you’ve perceived her to be out of your league, then get yourself into her league, by hook or by crook.
What makes her “out of your league”? Money? Looks?
If you’ve got improvements to make to yourself, make them. Make yourself someone that people want to be around. Someone that draws energy from a room and gives it back.
People, men and women, are drawn to magnetic, dynamic personalities. So get some magnetism, some charisma. Something to draw her into your energy.
Once you’ve done that, if there is chemistry, things should happen naturally.
Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind.

Call it what you want, it’s basic understanding of human nature and psychology.
People want to be around people that other people want to be around.
We’re all energy, essentially. Like celestial bodies, we draw others into our orbit based on our energy. So if you cultivate that, if you can learn to project your energy, draw others in and create a positive energy in the group, you’ll find that people want to be a part of that.

From what I’ve learned in my life as an OT-baller, women are not nearly as big on looks as men. If you show confidence and/or present yourself as socially valuable, they’ll dig you.

You just have to either sleep with her friend or get a friend to show you too much attention for her liking.
You get put in the friend zone because she thinks you'll stay there and that she can do better.
