Have you been noticing any issues with food stock at your grocery stores?

I know it has been the news we will be having a meat supply shortage very soon, have you noticed any shortages in the food supply where you shop? In Texas I shop at HEB and besides not having the full varieties of each item they might normally have, lately I haven’t noticed them being out of stock in that much. Anyone have any outages of food where they shop?

Pork and beef are in short supply and the prices have increased here at my local grocery.

Economics 101, I know.

My sous chef’s shopper mentioned something about a shortage of watercress. State of these heathens hoarding such products.

I pretty much shop at the Farmers Market and the local dairy store exclusively, so I don't know how the grocery stores are. Meat supply at the Amish counter has been fine.

Kroger didn't have long grain white rice this time around that wasn't Uncle Ben's Ready Made.

But everything else was good to go.

The meat bins at Costco were pretty scarce last night... but I went just before it closed. Maybe were just low on stock for the day.

I noticed I was able to get huge family packs of boneless/skinless chicken breasts for .58/lb. I got 20 lbs worth and froze them. But on the other end, I noticed ground chuck was $4.99/lb. Pork and chicken seem in excess. Beef not so much

Yes, have had shortages at my store since this started.

Went at 7:30 yesterday morning and the store was wiped out. No chicken, no pork (except pre-packaged pork loin and ribs), no ground turkey.

They ground beef, steaks and sausage available.

BS it’s more trickery to get people to create more chaos and hoard more food and create false demand

I've started making my own hand sanitizer.

All you need is some rubbing alcohol, aloe vera or other gel substance and hydrogen peroxide. I also add a few drops of lavender essential oil fragrance to disguise the rubbing alcohol smell. Takes 5 minutes.

The formula for combining the ingredients to achieve the right alcohol content is on the internet.

Have had trouble getting orange juice with pulp, whole organic milk, the yogurt we normally get, Lysol Laundry sanitizer, Powercrunch protein bars, and whole wheat white bread.

Yeah Lysol and disinfectant wipes are non existent anymore. As is hand sanitizer. Last week we saw paper towels staying on the shelf. This week we have full shelves of toilet paper just sitting there waiting to be horded again and also bleach.

Hopefully next week we'll get alcohol and hand sanitizer back.

The store brand (Food City) self rising cornmeal mix that is darned near perfect (as a copy of White Lily) hasn't been available for four weeks.

Egg roll wrappers, Coleman's dry mustard, poblano pepper seeds are some of the other things that have become harder to find.
