Have upgrades/creations on Apple products been marginal since Steve Jobs' death?

Just curious.

I don't own any Apple products or devices. But I've been under the assumption that Jobs was the sole source of creativity and once he died, they have been milking out items that have already been in existence when he was alive.

I could be wrong, though

What revolutionary changes have come to the iPhone that beat any other brands to market? It’s not the tech they win with, it’s the marketing

Everything is a rehash of a service already offered now.

I was an Apple fanboy, now I don't even care.

In fairness, there haven't been any revolutionary changes to smartphone tech as a whole in the last several years. But, shame on Apple for still charging prices that would indicate that they have been.

Yeah, but they essentially have for most things in that space. How much of that is because of Job's death or because of the tech kind of maxing out for the time being is an interesting conversation

Regarding the iPod smartphone etc. apple didn’t create it but I don’t think anyone can deny that they maybe easiest most accessible MP3 player and then they themselves revolutionized the smartphone which killed the iPod. People can say it’s marketing but the ease of their interface and integration between devices makes it exceedingly easy for the average user.

Wasn't the Apple Watch launched after his death? Seems that was pretty innovative, but maybe was already in development before his death.

No, they've been marginal since long before his death.

yes they are showing a clear lack of leadership and vision

he was the rare exception of a liberal with good ideas and vision with the ability to create them, speaking in terms of business related only

I can. It was easy to use so long as you used their proprietary music management software - iTunes - which they eventually turned into a colossal hunk of shite.

They’ll lose value and prestige, like Sony.

Apple is the only tech company marketing that they are for privacy. They use their tight grip on their platform to do this.

I would say that in this day and age that is creative for a technology company.

The airpods and that's about it.

Maybe if Cook would quit worrying about politics and get back to business, they would innovate again.

I really think they missed the boat by not simplifying automobile infotainment earlier. They could have used their insane cash reserves to build the best infotainment system and license it to the manufacturers.

They are also missing the boat on autonomous driving
