It seems memory & speed are the only real advancements in new phones that have hit the market in the last few years.

My iPhone 5 (which still works fine) can do anything my 13 can…and it’s a better fit for my pockets.

Who really gives a shite about camera innovations?

Yeah it's a mature technology. Might stay that way for 20 years though

Foldable (reliable) displays are the next big area of evolution.

I was kind of wondering about this seeing these new flip phones being advertised like it’s a great concept. Why is a flip phone good now?

I don’t get that either, more of a gimmick than an evolution. I wanna see the camera take the next stop and do the smooth flow recording that can rival the GoPro.

Like the PC and Laptops, smartphones reached their final evolution years ago. It’s all minor, incremental improvements from here on out.

Note: still using a iPhone 6S. No reason to upgrade. It’s reliable, does everything I want, and fits nicely in my pocket.

My wife does. That's her main concern with getting new phones. With me, as long as the browser has incognito tabs, I couldn't give a shite less about the camera

Took pictures on my most recent vacation with my iPhone 12 Pro. Absolutely blown away with the quality of the pictures. Especially portrait mode.

There's nowhere left for them to go. These days I just keep them until the batter gets crappy.

No. We still need to fit in a laser projector.

Also a laser measuring tool.
