I’d be perfectly OK w self checkout if they gave even a small discount for using it.

I give myself a small discount every once in awhile in self checkout by forgetting to scan what’s under the basket.

Pro tip: shop online and do in store pickup. Then the cashier has to go get your shite for you. And I don’t spend 15 min searching for said item.

I used to like Lowe's better than HD, but HD got dem handheld scanners and it only takes a minute to scan and GTFO.

At Lowes and Home Depot they almost always have the register open at the contractor's entrance at the lumber. I use them sometimes when I have theft deterrent equipped stuff. Never use them when you are buying the one penny clearance stuff, I was buying about 20 rolls of walnut veneer banding and it took me 20 minutes to check out. The clerk couldn't figure out how I had a whole bag of stuff and it only cost $0.22.
