He should just get a 2nd dog so it has companionship.

As dumb as his reasoning may be. Why the frick does it matter to you what you buddy does with his dog? I mean really? If you were my buddy I
Would have already told you to
frick off.

I've never come across such a thing. Well, I guess it's all relative. We have two pretty big dogs who live better than most people in the world but that's just based on the basics. They don't get baths, spas, or fancy treats. They eat Kirkland dog chow, and we impose on our parents for most boarding needs. But just basic vet bills are more than most of the world's population could afford.

Basically, they are white privileged AF.

Relax. He is the one who texted me and wanted my opinion.

Your course of action is obvious

Move to Seattle and open up a pet hotel with your gentleman lover

Congrats on your future happiness together

This is the only weird part of this story. What adult needs to get another’s opinion on something like this?

Having a pet dog that’s not a working dog for cattle or something is literally the dumbest thing on this planet. Everything like pet hotels is just inexplicable.

Good idea. Will mention it to him.

Or maybe stop being a Karen and let your buddy send his dog to daycare a few times a week.

If your friend isn’t hurting his dog, let him do with his pet and money what he wants

I thought this was going to be another thread about someone’s friend sticking his finger in his dog’s butt.

that’s awesome

Someone in the neighborhood got a kitten recently and for whatever reason decided to make it an outdoor cat. He comes over every day and his name on his tag is Tater. I don’t know why that’s hilarious to me.

There is one of those doggy daycare places a couple doors down from my office. Its amazing and sad to see how many people, (most look like they don't have much disposable income) drop their dogs off at these places every single day.

Same. My dog is very much an “only dog”. She’d hate doggie daycare.

No, your buddy isn't going too far with his dog?

THIS is going too far with a dog.

it refers to a pit bull dog-“seventh grade, Lynn's dog, pit bull, Ruby, had sex with her. A few weeks later she became pregnant and he shot her.

I’m bringing my cat to my parents today because I’m going to spend the week there and I don’t want to leave him alone for a week. He fricking hates traveling in cars and I know he’ll be terrified for a few days, but I guess it’s better than leaving him alone Sunday - Sunday. I don’t know, I’ve been torn about this.
Has anyone taken their cat on a week long trip before? Usually I just leave the fricker at home alone but a week is a long time and I don’t know anyone here that I could truest you feed him (new city now).

We don’t bring the cat anywhere, but we have people who feed them for us when we go on trips. I couldn’t leave her for a week without someone coming feed and poop scoop.
