Has anyone given their lawn guy, pool guy, or maid any extra money?

With gas prices being higher I’m just wondering if anyone has added extra money to the normal bill?

I started throwing 5 bucks a week more towards my landscaping guy.

Haven’t started with my pool guy yet but may start soon.

The pool guy is ok.

He's giving and getting a bigger tip when you're not around.

If you need crypto tips I’ll start putting $5 in my mailbox.

Yes, we pay extra to those who work in/around our home.

We also tip servers generously. At favorite restaurants, especially with out regular servers, I'll give a generous tip + my wife will often hand them a $20. During the holidays, she gives money to all employees at her favorite restaurants + mail carrier, fedex/ups/Amazon drivers, garage collectors, manicure person, masseuse,
etc.

I'll probably start giving the lawn guy a few bucks more. I've also started tipping people I've never tipped before... mostly people working curbside pickup. Just seemed to me that if they're the ones actually giving me the service that I want, they should get some extra bucks. Except now Wal Mart and Home Depot have both banned tipping for curbside pickup workers. Tried to tip both and both told me they could no longer take it. "We're not allowed". Such bullshite.

I completely understood why the yard crew was $10 more a cut now.

The guy told me that when he explained to his customers why, he lost several and i told him that’s sad and unreasonable.

Gas can’t go up over $1.50/gallon and expect mowing equipment to not be affected

I’m locked into a contract with my yard guy at a set price. I’ve watched this dude go from him pushing a lawnmower to him riding a lawnmower to him having a crew running the operation. He periodically shows up with them and blows the grass off the concrete. I think he’ll be alright.

I forgot this board is full of betas that can't even do their own yardwork. Pussies!

I enjoy cutting my own lawn.

The neighbors kid an introvert.
His mother told him to help me drag some tree branches I was cutting to the road.
Saw he liked a young lady next door, but was not outgoing enough to ask her out.
I gave him $40 and talked to the girls parents to help him out. Found out both kids were nerds. Anyway somehow we helped them go on a date to the school fair.

I’ve always tipped my yard guy well. If he goes up on his prices, he is still getting the same amount of money from me.

I don’t have contact with any of the HELP thats handled by my house manager and by the ranch manager. I’ll ask my valet if he knows of these frivolous wasting of funds.

Not sure if you're bragging about how much money you have or how lazy you are. . .

Then you got to this point. . .

I started throwing 5 bucks a week more towards my landscaping guy.

and I realized it's the latter.
