I think they should be able to separate the people with issues (drugs, violence, mental issues, etc.) from the families with little kids in these shelters.
Reporter said a few people have come to her with these concerns.

You're right. I can't speak for Houston the past few days, but we all know with Katrina protocols were in place and they just weren't followed by the assholes who were in positions to follow them.

Man, still very worried about this Barker reservoir. Sitting in Nottingham Country and my streets are dry, but the elevated levels in he reservoir make me nervous

It is easy to spot someone who has never worked in emergency operations. You could have Godzilla show up in a city and some jackass is going to question why a plan didn't exist for that.

People see the reality of a disaster and think that there's some smooth way to handle this.
There's a reason they call it a "disaster"
However maybe now people will stop giving NOLA and LA so much crap about how Katrina was handled.

This. If all of those Houston totals end up between Wharton and Victoria, no one would have questioned the preparation and response. You simply don't know with rainfall totals.

I just texted him and asked, haven't heard back yet. But he did confirm Panther Creek is still dry. I'll reply again if he responds with any info

Not really. We weren't on the original list of homes affected, but our neighborhood was added at 7pm last noght

The media has been dog shite covering this. They confuse the hell out of folks.
I'll be available to cover it more accurately in an hour or so, but folks in the neighborhoods listed in the two reservoirs should consider evacuation. The list is on KPRC's site I believe, in one of the articles on the reservoir.

Thanks Man, looks to be about a mile from where your buddy would be. Worried about friend I have up there I haven't heard from. They live directly on Glen Loch between Falling Leaf and Royal...
Like I said, shows Glen Loch is closed just south of that and north of that... Hoping where they are is the high part and they didn't flood and are ok

I believe those neighborhoods were added due to Addicks overflowing after 108'. What was the neighborhood again?
