Uncle Jack and Janky Rob on KATC at 6 pm said between midnight and 3 am this morning we'll get strong storms.

The RPM model he showed was a bit relieving. Showed Lafayette getting only 3" through Wednesday morning. Although he did say he expected it to be a tad higher.

At this point, we will handle the water better than anyone.

Yeah, we handle it just fine.

I handled about 18 inches of it last year.

I can't wait to handle it again.

True for exxon. News report tonight said to expect higher prices of $0.50-$0.75 for next few weeks due to lost refinery capacity in the region.

Well we had to make a mad escape put of sienna plantation this morning. Never seen anything like it. Apparently one of the pumps failed. The levee wasn't even close to breaching and we wee always told the only way we flood was if the Brazos hits 60 feet. The constant rain drown the pumps and water started flooding streets. We packed bags at 8 and put as Much as we could On the second floor and hauled arse at 10am. Just a quarter mile from my house was flooded out impassable. We drove up on the sidewalks and muddy grass for half a mile between trees.

We hit LJ parkway to 59 S and just drove. Had to get all the way past Victoria before we could find an open road back North. Made it to San Antonio in 5.5 hours. And dry and safe now. Several Of our neighbors are here. We are so blessed to be here safe.

You'd win the bet.

18" deep over 2k sq. ft. just in my house. That much more over my 30 acres.

Can you do the math?

Thanks to everyone for the kind words and encouragement. We are at the omni hotel in SA. Nice place and a lot of our neighbors came with us so kids have friends here. Looks like our house will be flooded out and no flood insurance sucks but we are alive and safe.

My house is your house. If y'all want a change of scenery, or a place to regroup and make a plan going forward, come on. I'll ride back with you and help you gut it when it's time.
