How can it be 22 inches in that area but all the numbers around it be so much less? Is that over a different time period?
it's model data, not a forecast. It's one of an infinite number of chaotic scenarios that could happen.

Do you think anyone is sick enough in the head to frick with these people attempting to make rescues?

I think reality is often worse than what we can imagine, but no, hopefully not

I try to search Cajun navy and nothing comes up in the results.
Make sure you are searching in the channels section and not users. Swipe right and you'll see the channels section

I am, I don't know why there are no results. I can find it online, but it's password protected.

I might be jumping the gun with this question, but are there any preliminary estimates on how many houses got flood damage? Has to be in the 10s of thousands?

Oh no, Megan just said "it's too late for one of my kids"

Yeah, the exact location should be taken with a grain of salt. The point is those type of totals are possible in the general area.
I knew you knew better. Was just saying. At this point I don't know if it would be smart or dumb to tell people they could expect some areas could receive very high amounts. Of course it's not as widespread as it was last year so you don't want to make it saiund like it's gonna be that type of an event but people in poorly drained areas need to be aware of the possibilities

When I went to bed there was a rescue headed to an elderly guys house .. alone on oxygen stuck in bed. Redstick was following that call .. anyone know if he got out??
And God bless Megan if she lost a kid ... mom of 3 and I can't imagine.

Megan - head injury, possibly bleeding, dealing with seizures.. said 'too late for one of her kids' I'm assuming that's the same one that said she couldn't find - the 18 month old
Posted on 8/28/17 at 7:33 am to sloopy
Has been stuck in a home on the bottom floor since last night. Two kids. She's suffering from seizures at some point hit her head and bleeding. Can't reach her medicine. Nobody has been able to locate her.
