Training in over Houston now... Its pulling moisture out of the gulf. I'd guess a few hours straight of rain inside the loop. Not heavy, but just constant.

I do too. I'm praying that her kid is just sleeping and she just doesn't realize that because she is disoriented. Glad to hear that one boater say he's heading toward her

The cajun navy is going to be overwhelmed with calls for help... this is unreal man
I started listening in on Zello to them from the time they were mobilizing. It's truly impressive what they are doing. They have professional dispatchers from all over the world volunteering to put theses guys in the spots they need to be. I can't imagine how many lives have and will be saved by their initiative and action. The fact that they have coast guard, national guard, local law enforcement, fire and paramedic cooperation says something.

Just go the the channel tab and search for Cajun Navy

Harvey has moved back into the Gulf but little strengthening is expected as dry air has punched the core and the Gulf has cooled dramatically. Also, the non tropical dynamics don't favor strengthening either, so Harvey probably stays weak.
Even with it staying weak things will be slow to improve and the official forecast is still bad.
As far as Louisiana, the main concern is the slow moving line of storms this morning. It should start to shift east faster and break up. The farther east you get the more isolated the higher totals will be. Then as Harvey moves off to the NE it will continue to transition to extratropical and the heaviest totals will shift to the north and west of the track.

AM I on the wrong channel? I don't hear much?
Posted on 8/28/17 at 8:03 am to CapperVin
They're going to start cutting us off on some of the channels soon. Too much inter channeling and lots of personal info out there for people.
Did they switch everything Megan to a private channel?

These guys have saved a lot of lives already today. I admit I thought the "Cajun Navy" was cheesy when I first heard it but these guys are legit. They're doing great work.
