Did they say the rainfall has already exceeded Allison in half the time. Holy crap.

What happened to the "other" Hurricane sticky? Harvey observations or whatever. I just noticed it was gone.
Is it somewhere down in anchor land? I've heard the OT has multiple pages, but I rarely venture past page 1.

Thanks Klark. She lives in subdivision with one of those man made lakes running through it. Water was way up but still not too close to door. As long as everything keeps draining she should be good. Just worried about drainage completely stopping. Good luck to you and your family.

Between Houston and Galveston on the coast.

We hung around that truck stop there.
Another story. We passed a house and seen a guy with a gun take off running. We jumped out and he gave up. Come to find out it was his house but he was worried we were gonna bust him with 4 squirrels he shot out of season.
We had spent 2 weeks in NO after Katrina. The difference in people was a welcomed relief. When the 18 wheelers finally arrived at the truckstop with supplies more people volunteered to help pass out and unload than got in line to receive stuff.

The "other" thread is gone .. Chicken posted that he didn't feel the need for it.

You're right about the small victories. I feel bad for Rockport, such a great fishing community. I know they'll rebuild!

Guy on TWC. "Look at the people on that shovel" referring to people in a front end loader.

Yep, people here are quick to volunteer, most don't have much but they are very generous with their time.

I had suggested this last night. I didn't think we ever needed it. However, it was created during the height of the blue shed craze, so there was some merit to creating a second, more serious thread.

SIL, husband and 6 day old baby just got picked up in a boat in Dickinson, but on the west side of 45. TWC is reporting east of 45 by a few miles.
Not sure where they are going to go for the night...

I left the phone on the porch. My brother has done this before. He posted it here and on tRant. And I had no clue wtf stout was talking about at first. Checked my posts and voila...found the problem.
I don't find any humor in this situation anywhere..at all. The anniversary of my son's death is in a couple of days so I would sure as hell not make a joke out of others going thru what I already have.
Anyone wanna question that being the truth, I really do not give a frick. Anyone who would lie about the death of one of their own children isn't decent enough to draw breath...and I'm breathing just fine.
