Says flooding is going "to get much, much worse in the next 48 hours." Nobody better let their guard down in SE Texas any time soon.

Klark, my family is in Spring. Checked on them this morning and everything ok, but water rising. Called hour ago and no answer and no call back. How are things there? She's on high ground and trying not to worry.

I probably met you if you were stationed at the intersection of hwy 12 and 109. We snuck back in the day after it hit to check the houses. One officer wasn't going to let us through but I lied and said my grandmother was trapped and we were going to get her out. I don't think he believed me but oh well he let us through

Good news currently is colder cloud tops displaced east of Houston. Of course, it means SWLa under the gun now.

I hope LA doesn't get this as bad as we had it. That radar isn't looking good.

Whole state will be under the old main feeder for awhile.

Things in the loop and west into Memorial have settled down considerably. I'm in the Heights and water in the streets has completely disappeared. Once again it's really the interstates and people next to bayous, rivers and reclaimed swamp getting crushed.

I doubt it's gone for good. Radar shows a long band out in the gulf moving back toward Houston. I think it'll build back in by nightfall.

We just got our first picture of my parents place in Rockport, only the backside of the house. The backside was the most exposed side, so it is the side we were most worried about. About 20% of the roof is gone. As such, likely everything inside was destroyed. I guess with this type of storm, you have to take the small victories whenever you can with that being that our house is still there.

I live in Montgomery County/Spring/Falls at Imperial Oaks.
We have been taking hard rain all day but the drainage is working fine and I just went to H E B on 99/Rayford/Riley. The rain is nasty but no flooding and no danger.

Sorry to hear that BeYou. You can replace things, you cant replace lives.

Festus,
As of 10-12PM everything about as good as they could be for our little area. But it's been raining really hard since noon here. The creeks are continuing to rise, but I think most of Spring is still above water.
