I think there was plenty fair warning but ... they are in an area that doesn't get a lot of hurricanes. Something tells me the ones that stayed this time probably won't ever do it again. I hope the ones that stayed are safe.

I suspect that, sadly, many of them will never have to worry about another hurricane hitting them for the rest of their lives. If the death toll from this isn't significant, I'll be stunned.

The eye is CLOSE to land now ... maybe 45 minutes to an hour (just guessing).
