I really couldn’t give you an opinion on this. I don’t have female tendencies so I don’t watch crap shows like that

Eh, Hannah B is fine

Her introduction on last night's show was cringe worthy to say the least and she couldn't coherently put together a sentence. She seemed more like some random girl picked out of the crowd and blindsided with being the new Bachelorette instead of somebody who had ample notice and has a lot of experience with public speaking.

I had to leave the room, I couldn't watch it

FWIW I can't watch stuff like Meet the Parents either. Cringeworthy moments are my kryptonite.

I agree. But i also agree on her birthday toast, the "Rawltide" was really awkward and bad on her part. But i think she was still nervous and new to the bachelor crap.

Her inability to speak more eloquently is kind of surprising when you consider she won Miss Alabama and competed in Miss USA.

She was kind of picked though because there weren't much better choices.

Cassie couldn't go obviously because she was the winner.

Tayeshia couldn't go because the last black bachelorette was a ratings failure

Caelynn and Hannah G. were out because both were clearly there for publicity and to make a name for themselves. Hannah G. had no personality and Caelynn had too much baggage.

Ex: the season where they happened to be in NOLA and he sends the girl from there home then. You know damn well that was producers thinking they can save money on travel. They knew all along that girl was toast...figured they would wait until they reached NOLA

Why do I find it extremely hard to believe the producers of "The Bachelor" are so concerned with saving a few hundred bucks on a plane ticket for one contestant that they dictate when she is eliminated to avoid paying for it?

Point is that producers mostly dictate when a lot of the contestants are sent home....not the Bachelor/Bachelorette.

They determine the order of the roses that are handed out for maximum drama.

Also.....the names of the chosen contestants are written on the inside of the rose in case the bachelor/bachelorette forgets the name.

It was awful. And I’m sure it turned a lot of folks off for the next season (as evidenced by this thread)

She couldn’t even talk. Did no one tell her what to expect or at least review some talking points with her?

I didn’t see all of it yet.

I can only imagine the guys they find for her season.

I just picture her saying Roll Tide at least once an episode.

Well it is Alabama.....public speaking there likely means being able to memorize the pledge of allegiance.

And....she may have competed in Miss USA but didn’t win.

I don't disagree with any of that. They absolutely decide when a good portion of the girls/guys get sent home. But it isn't based on saving money on airfare

It's based on ratings and ratings alone. Which are worth a whole lot more than a couple hundred bucks on travel. The New Orleans chick may have been sent home on the producers decision because that was her home town. But it would have been because they thought the most value they could get out of her is the twist in sending her home in her own city. Not because they wanted to skimp on one coach ticket.
