I'm like, that would never fly. No guy would sign up to be the Bachelor in that case. Study after study after study shows that men find women between the ages of 18 and 23 the most attractive. So why would a guy sign up to be on a show to pick from a bunch of women 7-10 years past their prime?
When I saw Elyse on this season and her being 31 I rolled my eyes. No 26 year old is going to pick a 31 year old when he has a bunch of hot 23 year olds to pick from. Yeah these 23 year olds have no interest in winning or committing to Colton but still.
Of course I get heavily downvoted for pointing all this out. The same idiots on the Bachelor subreddit also always bitch that there aren't enough "plus size" women contestants. Haha. Yeah a guy is really going to pick a fat arse when he has thin, in shape women to pick from.

I probably set a subreddit record for downvotes in a single post when I said Elyse was too old. Downvoting me doesn't make it not true. A high value man(who the Bachelors usually tend to be) is not going to pick a 30+ year old when he has an all you can eat buffet of younger women to choose from. That's not just the Bachelor, that's real life.
Now they are all upset that another white woman is cast as the Bachelorette and how there are not enough women of color. Did you not just see all of the minorities on Colton's season? You really think he was going to pick Tazhjuan or Katie with the big nose?
Must suck to have to view everything through the lens of social justice.

I don't see where race got injected into this conversation. With that being said, this reality show has been around since 2002 and has yet to have a black male bachelor. Which speaks volumes.
Also, Kirpa isn't unattractive and I can only think of one the black female contestants that was "ugly"

I think the next minority Bachelor/Bachelorette will be a black guy
But....I feel that ABC thinks they have a few more years before they feel they have to do that.

i dont think any of this seasons bachelorettes were overly qualified. caelynn would have probably been the best, but she must have said no.

Caelynn was there for the same reason that Cassie was there. Fame. It was pretty stupid of her to discuss this openly on a bus with other contestants around. That's pretty much what doomed her.
