Left at 3 PM.
Do yall understand how dangerous your roads are?
I've been around this country, I've never seen people drive more aggressively and with blatant disregard for traffic flow. Even in BR.
What's going on down there? Are yall okay?
Edit - I will add, I've also never seen a more poorly laid out city. Also it's really good to remember this when you get out and it's busy. You aren't in traffic. You are the traffic. You're not above everyone else out there.

Eh. BR is the worst in the state imo
I12 is like a nascar track if all the drivers were retarded.

Countless times coming home from Tennessee/NC/Georgia I have driven for 8/9 hours on those interstates with no issues, then get on 12 in Slidell and its like people have just been released from the insane ward. The stark difference in the amount of cars on the road coupled with the aggressive low IQ drivers on 12 is astounding

New Orleans would like a word

The entire state is fricked up.
I-10 and I-20 have both been "Under Construction" for 30 years.
Has to be some government monkey business going on.
Going through Shreveport on I-20 they have it down to one lane with concrete barriers snaking all across the river for 3-4 miles.
It's barely wide enough for a large pickup

Been saying this for a long time. The entire city is south of the interstate. Everything is surface streets and stop lights. There's no quick way to gst anywhere. Its awful for a city that size.

I49 is the only redeeming roadway. The drive from opelousas to south Shreve is a pleasure and perfect drive to enjoy a couple road beers
Just set my cruise on 79 with steering assist and watch some tv

The worst is coming from Lafayette to Baton Rouge and getting stuck on I10.

I thought it was generally accepted that Louisiana had the worst roads in the South? Is that not true? It’s been my experience.

The interesection of Perkins Road at Bluebonnet Boulevard might be the worse around 5 p.m. weekdays.
If you're headed down Bluebonnet Boulevard (towards I-10), it backs up signifcantly all the way down to the intersection of Perkins Road and Bluebonnet Boulevard.
The amount of vehicle that enter this intersection when the light turns yellow is baffling. No one gives a shite. It then blocks the traffic on Perkins Road being able to flow through in both directions (towards Siegen and Essen).

Just don’t drive south out of the city on 90.
You have all the construction near the Ambassador Caffery exchange and the new railroad bridge under construction below New Iberia, and if you keep heading south you just may lose an axle on one our famous bouncing bridges.
Also, I don’t know why but when I passed 2 weeks ago, even the newly paved sections of 90 were grooved in away way that made me think my tires were making weird noises, and I am not talking about riding the rumble strips on the edge of the road.

Cool. Don’t come back.
My brother too drives all over the country. He said Boston was the absolute worst for terrible drivers. He lives in Youngsville.

Ironically, this could be part of the problem. There are no curves or hills that allow traffic to see what’s ahead. On that stretch of road, your vision is often limited to the distance between you and that truck right in front of you.

Time the lights and the surface streets are all 45mph. You can make it across the city pretty damned quick.

Still? It was like that in early August.
